There are plenty of reasons why the status of your delivery might not have changed. Its important to note that every carrier has a different way of getting your parcel to you.
Sitting in 'Ready for Pickup'
This means that the delivery has been booked and your package is ready for collection by the allocated carrier. Most of the time items get picked up promptly, however unprecedented delays could mean that this takes longer than usual to get collected.
Spending forever 'In Transit'
Shippit aims to provide you with the most important updates, keeping your tracking information jargon-free and useful. Often this may mean your parcel will spend a while "In Transit" as it passes through different depots and checkpoints.
Spending too long 'With Driver'
Typically when a package is on board for delivery, it should be delivered within the same day. Sometimes, things don't go according to plan. The delivery driver may have had difficult finding your address or may have been so overloaded they ran out of time to deliver your item before close of business. These typically get delivered on the next business day.
Sitting in 'Delivery Attempted' or 'Awaiting Collection'
This means your delivery did not get completed and is now waiting on you to arrange for re-delivery or collection at a local pickup location. Shippit sends emails to advise you on what to do in these events.
