Heavy bulky freight or pallets
Charges that can be identified at the time of booking are included in the API quote at the time of booking however additional surcharges may apply for undeclared goods or special goods. For more information, see the Carrier surcharges article.
Complimentary loss or damage insurance is not included when booking with <carrier name> through Shippit unless you have it included in your own BYO account. Alternatively, you can enable Shippit Transit Protection to cover your orders for loss and damage.

Bulky goods over 25kg
Palletised freight
Any freight that may pose a danger of injury to the courier or a member of staff because it has sharp or jagged edges, is not adequately packaged, or cannot be handled safely
Goods containing lithium batteries of any description, including laptops, mobile phones, power tools, toys, cameras and watches.
Alcohol must be pre-approved by Shippit and the carrier before shipping.
You can only ship dangerous goods with <carrier name> with prior approval.
Check the <carrier name guidelines> for accepted dangerous goods and limitations, and seek approval from <carrier name> to ship dangerous goods. When you have received approval from Australia Post, contact the Shippit configuration team to configure your Shippit account.
Wrap your items in a way that ensures safety for the delivery person and the customer. It is your responsibility to package items correctly. Packaging should comply with Australian consumer and transport laws.

Depending on your shipping volume, you can arrange to have regular collections, or ad-hoc pickups.
You can cancel orders directly from your Shippit account. This triggers a cancellation request to the carrier using an API call.
If you have scheduled collections, and a driver misses packages, you do not need to rebook the collection. Any missed packages are collected on the next collection day.
If you have ad-hoc collections, and you require a rebooking, contact Shippit Support to arrange it.
If you experience problems with collections, contact Shippit Support to engage with the carrier directly.
<Carrier name> sends a text message and email to recipients offering them the option to enter specific delivery instructions. A text message or email notification is then sent confirming the delivery ETA.
<Carrier name> supports both signature and authority to leave (ATL) deliveries. You can select ATL when you book the order, or by using the link in the delivery notification email sent by <carrier name>.
Shippit records a completed delivery when we receive a delivered event from <carrier name>, which is visible in Shippit tracking.
Recipients can book a redelivery to a new address online, after a delivery attempt has been made and a card received. Redeliveries occur on weekdays only. <Carrier name> attempts redelivery four times before it is failed and returned to sender.
You can request that an order be returned to the sender (RTS), but must be able to reach the driver before delivery. You can't request RTS after the goods have been delivered.

You can activate <carrier name and service level> in your account to get access to Shippit's rates.
Log in to your Shippit account.
Open the drop-down menu in the top right of your screen, and click Settings.
Click Carriers to go to the carrier settings for your store.
Under <category>, find <carrier name>, and toggle the switch on.

You can also integrate CBD Express using your own BYO carrier account. To set up your integration, email the Shippit configuration team with these details:
