Rules for Delivery Destinations
Updated over 9 months ago

With the Rules Engine, you can select Conditions based on:

  • a range of postcodes (e.g. 2000-2500)

  • a list of postcodes (e.g. 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003...)

  • suburb-postcodes (e.g. Surry Hills, 2015)

  • countries

Rules will be automatically applied when a new order is created or synced to Shippit and when an order's details are updated.

Note: Postcode ranges and suburb-postcode Conditions have been built for domestic orders and are limited to your Shippit account's country. You can check the country your account is linked to by going to Settings > General.

Postcode range example

This example outlines how to create a rule to not allocate orders to Allied Express for orders that have a postcode within the ranges of 2000 and 2500. For orders with postcodes within this range, other carriers that are enabled on your account will be allocated.

Postcode list example

This example outlines how to create a rule to not allocate orders to Allied Express for orders that have a postcode within a specific list of postcodes. This can be especially helpful for non-consecutive lists of postcodes e.g. if specifying the exact metro coverage of a carrier. For orders with postcodes in this list, other carriers that are enabled on your account will be allocated.

Suburb-postcode example

This example outlines how to create a rule to not allocate orders to Allied Express for orders addressed to Surry Hills, 2010 or Alexandria, 2015. This is more granular than the previous examples as some suburbs may have the same postcode and carriers may service one suburb but not the other.
