An anticipated increase in freight volumes due to Black Friday sales plus the peak season volume caused minor transit delays of 1-3 business days for the below-highlighted regions:

  • Whangarei
  • Hamilton
  • Hawkes Bay / Gisborne
  • Taranaki / Whanganui
  • Christchurch - East
  • Dunedin
  • Invercargill

There are currently no restrictions on pick-ups in these areas other than the suspension of oversized items.

The current airfreight capacity limitations and restricted flight schedules will cause delays with international imports and exports.

Disruption to Air Transport Network

Freight movement between the North and South Islands is currently affected due to an aircraft fleet disruption that happened last night, November 29th. Alternative routes are being utilised to ensure that parcels reach their destinations as safely and quickly as possible.

  • Please expect delivery delays of 1+ business days into the below regions as the ferry services are running late due to crew shortages.
    • North Island
    • South Island
  • Road works on SH6 between BHE and NSN will be closed until the 18th of December which will cause delays in freight movement.

Further communication will be provided once we receive additional updates.
