DHL eCommerce users are required to follow a specific process to schedule a pick-up and have their parcels collected. There are three short steps you must follow after manifesting your orders within Shippit:
- Group your parcels in a large box or bag
- Request a pick-up through the customer portal or book a pick-up by phone
- Seal your grouped packages and attach the pick-up label to the outside of the collective shipment (generated outside of Shippit when you book your pick-up)
Simply hand over your sealed collective shipment with a label affixed and your airway bill to the driver that arrives to pick up your package.
If you are located in a remote area and need to update customers of shipment statuses immediately upon collection, wait until the driver has collected and scanned your shipment, then mark all orders as picked up within that manifest from the Manifest History in Ready to Ship as shown here:
This action will automatically transition all orders in the manifest from Booked for Delivery to In Transit and trigger the tracking notifications to be sent to the customers.
