International Customs & Import Fees

International Customs & Import Fees

 I am the sender...

When orders are shipped internationally, you may be susceptible to customs fees. This depends on the courier you choose to ship with.

You as the sender are liable for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country the goods are sent to; payment of these fees is necessary to release your order from customs.

If you choose to pass these charges onto your customer (the receiver) you will need to:

1. Ensure your settings in Shippit are setup to automatically assign customs charges to the receiver

2. Let your customer know about these charges and what to do in the event goods are held in customs

Note: the total cost of delivery as charged by Shippit does not include any additional duties required. The carrier will inform you of any additional duties if required.

 I am the receiver...

If you're expecting a parcel from Australia, you may be susceptible to customs fees. Customs fees will be charged upon the package reaching the destination country.

If your parcel is caught/held in customs you will receive a notification from Shippit to advise.

Your tracking link will display this status

You as the receiver, might liable for import duties, customs and local sales taxes levied by the country you reside in; payment of these fees is necessary to release your order from customs.

The grand total of your order as displayed on the checkout does not include any additional duties required. The carrier will inform you of any additional duties if required.

You will need to contact the sender for further information and help with your order if required.
