⏱ Weekly Carrier Transit Times | Australia & New Zealand | 28th November 2022.

With millions of delivery bookings made on Shippit every week, we’re continuously monitoring carrier performance.

We've distilled all that data into this transit time matrix which is designed to give you real-time data, enabling you to make the right decisions for your business!

Keep an eye on our Health Check Network Status Gauge which shows the latest capacity indicators for our partnered carriers.

This week's highlights:

  • Please expect delays of 1-2 business days for interstate deliveries as the rail and road closures and the recent flooding continue to impact freight movement, particularly across parts of Victoria and New South Wales.
  • In better news, the VIC to WA rail network is slowly re-opening, however delays are still expected due to a backlog of freight.
  • The SYD to WA rail line is still down due to heavy rainfall and flooding. Authorities confirmed that their services will be operational by early January. Therefore you can still expect delays of up to 10 business days for freight travelling East to West.
  • For Aramex AU, services both to and from Darwin ex Sydney are being impacted due to high levels of rainfall across northwest NSW.
  • Our message remains the same for this peak season - utilise Express & OnDemand carriers where possible to de-risk your shipping and keep your customers happy with on-time deliveries. Transit times for Express services are 50% shorter than those of their standard counterparts, and OnDemand service on-time ratings are above 97%.
