⏱ Weekly Carrier Transit Times | Australia & New Zealand | 30th January 2023.

With millions of delivery bookings made on Shippit every week, we’re continuously monitoring carrier performance.

We've distilled all that data into this transit time matrix which is designed to give you real-time data, enabling you to make the right decisions for your business!

Keep an eye on our Health Check Network Status Gauge which shows the latest capacity indicators for our partnered carriers.

This week's highlights:

  • Most delivery lanes across the country have now returned to normal service levels excluding North Queensland and Perth.
  • North Queensland is still dealing with the aftermath of wild weather and floods causing delays of several days.
  • We're seeing delays of 1-2 days across most carriers using rail into Perth and with the rail lines now reopened, the transit times will continue to improve over the coming weeks.
  • Carrier partners (Toll, Australia Post, CouriersPlease) who implemented a temporary disaster levy surcharge late last year, have now started to invoice for these surcharges. What does this mean?
    • If you are using a Shippit account, these charges will be included in your monthly invoices.
    • If you're using your own carrier account with either of these carriers, you'll need to contact your carrier account manager directly to discuss the charges if not already invoiced.
  • Severe weather conditions continue to impact freight movement in New Zealand for both road and air services. Expect delays of 2-4 days across the country and outer islands.
