Integrating your DEAR Inventory account with Shippit

Integrating your DEAR Inventory account with Shippit is easy thanks to our Shippit Connect plugin and can save you valuable time by automating your order entry process. Before you get started, make sure you have the following ready:

  • Access to your DEAR Inventory account with the abillity to create new integrations
  • A Shippit account

Quick Summary

  • Create new integration application in DEAR Inventory to obtain the following:
    • Account ID
    • Application Key
  • Enter DEAR API credentials into Shippit setup screen
  • Connect accounts and import your sales orders


Creating a new integration application in DEAR Inventory

1. Log in to your DEAR account and go to Integrations

2. Click on API - DEAR

3. Next to Overview click on the + icon to create a new application

4. Please enter in a name of your choosing e.g. "Shippit Integration" and click Create

5. After the application has been created ensure the application is set to ACTIVE and take note of the Account ID & Application Key

6. Log into your Shippit account

7. Via the drop-down at the top-right of the page go to Settings > Integrations > Select an Integration

8. Scroll down the list and click on the DEAR Inventory logo

9. Enter in your DEAR Inventory credentials from the application you created and click CONNECT

10. Once authentication is successful you should be able to configure your DEAR Inventory settings.  If successful please take note of the following:

  • The Webhook URL field should be populated
  • Shippit will import orders that are "PACKED" every 15 minutes automatically
  • Shippit will automatically create the Shipment record in DEAR Inventory once you book orders on the platform

11. Once you have finished updating your settings, you can import your existing orders manually by opening up our Connector Portal - Shippit Connect. Click on LAUNCH CONNECT to manually import orders to Shippit.

Note: Clicking on LAUNCH CONNECT will take you to a new screen where you will be able to manually import any existing orders that are PACKED. You can click "Launch Shippit" to go back into the Shippit platform.
