Integrating your Magento account with Shippit is easy thanks to our Shippit module and can save you valuable time by automating your order entry and fulfilment process.
In order to connect your Magento account with Shippit you will need to download our Module, Shippit Shipping.
The module allows for automatic order sync with Shippit via webhook and manual Shippit order sync within Magento.
Before you get started, make sure you have the following:
- Magento login with administrative permissions
- A Shippit account with valid billing details
Please note that we recommend developer assistance for most Magento users, especially when installing our module outside of the marketplace.
The Magento Marketplace is the recommended method of installing this module for Merchants. Go to https://marketplace.magento.com/shippit-shipping.html to install this module via the Magento Marketplace.
Note: Installation of the module via composer should be completed by a developer or someone comfortable with composer and the server commandline - we suggest testing this installation on a staging instance before pushing this live
To install this module via composer, simply run the following commands from your server shell
composer require shippit/magento2
Once the package has been installed, proceed with the standard Magento module installation instructions, such as running the setup scripts, di compilation and static asset compilation.
This will fetch and install the latest version of the Magento 2 module, as referenced in the master branch.
Note: Installation of the module via manual file upload should be completed by a developer or someone comfortable with working with the Magento Application Structure - we suggest testing this installation on a staging instance before pushing this live
The Magento Marketplace is the recommended method of installing this module for Merchants - our GitHub repo is merely a mirror of the changes we submit to the Marketplace, and the Marketplace shows the version of our module approved by the Magento Marketplace Quality Assurance Team.
