If you'd like to ensure the most suitable courier is allocated to your fragile, bulky or even expensive orders, creating rules using product-based conditions is a great way to do this.

  • Product SKU
  • Product Line ID
  • Product Title

Example

To demonstrate how to do this, in this example we'll set up a rule to ensure all the TV's are shipped with Allied Express. We also know that for this store, all TV's are identified with an SKU that begins with the value, '468-'.

Step 1

In your Carrier Settings, ensure Allied Express is switched ON.

Next, scroll down to find your Allocation Settings, ensuring that you've selected Cheapest.

Step 2

When creating your rule, select Product SKU from the dropdown list of conditions and then select Contains from the next dropdown.

In the field, Enter Value, enter the value, '468-'.

Step 3

For the action, Do not allocate, enter all other remaining couriers you do not want TV's to be allocated to.

Step 4

Click save and don't forget to switch this specific rule, ON.
