Shippit are excited to announce these important new features.
Smart Shipping Rules now supports order modification. Merchants can configure rules to automatically apply special handling instructions to orders based on set conditions — including Authority to Leave, white-glove service, and call-before-delivery — without manual intervention.
Order Consolidation allows you to combine multiple eligible orders going to the same location into a single consignment within Shippit. This helps you to reduce freight costs, warehouse handling effort, tracking complexity, and reconciliation issues, and is particularly useful for B2B shipments and multi-location retail replenishment use cases.
For more information, see the Order Consolidation article.
Parcel-level data in CSV and FTP uploads — CSV and FTP uploads now support parcel-level data, allowing you to specify individual package dimensions, weights, and types — including pallets — for orders with multiple packages. For full field definitions and examples, see the CSV upload article.
Estimated Delivery Date now available across quotes, booking, and UI — Estimated Delivery Date (EDD) is now available across the quotes and booking API endpoints, the Get Quote endpoint, and the orders page in the UI.
Quote error messages expanded — Improved the copy on a range of errors from the quote API to make them more descriptive, making it easier to identify and resolve quoting issues.

Improve packing accuracy by scanning each item for checking against the pick slip. This adds a simple quality assurance step directly into your packing workflow, giving you confidence that the correct items are in the box before it is sent to your customers.
For information about enabling handheld scanning features, including scan to verify, see the handheld scanner article. For information about scan to verify, see the scan to verify article.
We have a new Transit Protection partner, FreightInsure, offering a self-serve claims portal, extended coverage for fragile items, and faster case resolution.
For information about the new claims process, see the making a transit protection claim article.
