Choosing your workflow

Updated 2 months ago
Pick & Pack supports three workflow modes. Choose the one that matches how your warehouse is organised. ## Pick & Pack (default) One operator handles the complete fulfilment cycle — picking items, packing the parcel, and generating the shipping label. Both the pick and pack steps are shown in sequence for the same operator. **Best for:** Small teams, or operations where one person handles each order end to end. ## Picker The operator focuses only on picking. They scan a tote barcode before starting the pick, associating the tote with the order. Once all items are picked, the tote is handed off to a packer. Pickers do not see the pack step. **Best for:** Warehouses with a dedicated pick line and separate pack stations. ## Packer The operator focuses only on packing. They scan the tote barcode to retrieve the order, verify items, enter parcel dimensions, and generate the shipping label. **Best for:** Use alongside the Picker workflow in two-stage fulfilment operations. ## Pull Mode Pull Mode is an optional add-on for Pick & Pack and Picker workflows. When enabled, instead of browsing the queue and selecting an order, you tap **Start Next Order** and the app automatically assigns the next available order to you. This prevents two pickers from claiming the same order on a busy pick floor, and keeps things moving without any manual queue management. Enable Pull Mode in **Settings → Power Ups → Pull Mode**. Pull Mode is not available in Packer mode. ## How to set your workflow 1. Go to **Settings → Workflow** 2. Select your workflow mode 3. The change takes effect immediately Workflow mode can also be set during the initial setup wizard when you first log in.
