How packing works

Updated 2 months ago
After all items in an order have been picked, the order moves to the pack queue. The packer verifies each item, enters the parcel dimensions, confirms the carrier, and generates the shipping label. ## Finding your order In **Pick & Pack mode**, you move directly from the pick screen to the pack screen for the same order. In **Packer mode**, scan the tote barcode to find the order. The app shows the items that should be in the tote. ## Verifying items The pack screen lists every item in the order. Scan each item's barcode (or tap **[+]** to confirm manually) to mark it as packed. The row dims when all units of that item are confirmed. Use **[−]** on any row to un-pack an item if needed. ## Item to Parcel Mapping When **Item to Parcel Mapping** is enabled, you track exactly which items go into which parcel during packing. Items appear in an _Unassigned_ section on the pack screen — tap or drag each item into the relevant parcel card before confirming the order. This creates a precise record of parcel contents, which is especially useful for multi-parcel orders, high-value goods, and customer queries about missing items. Item to Parcel Mapping is on by default. Toggle it at **Settings → Pack → Item to Parcel Mapping**. For a full walkthrough, see the Item to parcel mapping article. ## After all items are verified Enter your parcel dimensions and weight, then confirm the carrier quote and generate your label. See the Generating and printing your shipping label article for the full steps.
