Here's the current disruption to the Aramex NZ network as of the 31st of March 2026.
The freight forwarder is currently experiencing difficulties securing flight space to Amsterdam for EU shipments due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. As a result, several routes have been disrupted or rerouted, significantly limiting available capacity.
Consequently, all items that were scheduled to depart today were unable to do so and have been rebooked to the next available flight on 06/04.
From 1 April 2026, New Zealand will implement new goods management levies on imported consignments to recover border processing and biosecurity costs.
Applies to consignments with a customs value of NZD 1,000 or less.
Calculated based on the value of the goods only, excluding freight, insurance, and GST.
Introduces a cost-recovery model for border agencies.
Supports border operations amid rising e-commerce volumes and processing needs.
Replaces the previous goods-fee structure.
Applies from 1 April 2026 to all eligible consignments.
Charged per consignment, not per cargo report.
Levy is NZD 2.21 per parcel (combined) and passed through at cost with no Asendia margin.
Invoiced in AUD (approx. AUD 1.97) using the monthly exchange rate.
