Aramex (AU) Network Update

Here's the current disruption to the Aramex AU network as of the 22nd of July 2026.

There are currently service delays of 2 to 4 working days in the following regions:

• Cairns

• Maryborough

• Toowoomba

Middle East situation

Network is closely monitoring the evolving situation across the Middle East, with particular attention to developments affecting the broader region. The safety and well-being of its employees, partners, and customers remain the company’s highest priority.

Proactive measures have been implemented to maintain operational continuity wherever it is safe to do so, with teams on the ground working carefully and cautiously.

At present, shipments to and from Australia and New Zealand are not affected, and all last-mile domestic deliveries are proceeding as scheduled.

New U.S. Tariffs effective 29 August 2025

The U.S. Government has announced regulatory changes that affect all shipments entering the United States. From 29 August 2025, the USD 800 duty-free exemption will be removed, meaning all shipments will incur duties and taxes regardless of value. Most goods shipped from Australia to the U.S. will attract a 10% tariff, with some categories subject to higher rates. More information here.

To manage these changes, all USA-bound shipments will be held in Sydney before export. Senders will be notified of the estimated tariff, which must be approved before the shipment is released. Two shipping options remain available: Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), where the sender covers all costs upfront, and Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU/DAP), where the recipient pays duties and taxes upon delivery. A USD 12 ICOD fee will apply in the U.S. if duties are unpaid in advance.

To avoid delays, senders should ensure accurate declared values, detailed product descriptions, consignee identification (EIN/SSN), and matching labels with customs documentation. Aramex remains committed to supporting customers through these changes and ensuring smooth international deliveries.
