Using a Bluetooth or RF scanner

Updated 2 months ago
Pick & Pack supports Bluetooth and RF barcode scanners. When a scanner is connected, it replaces the camera as the primary scan input — the camera overlay no longer opens automatically. ## Connecting your scanner 1. Pair your scanner with your device via Bluetooth (follow your scanner manufacturer's instructions) 2. Open Pick & Pack — it detects the connected scanner automatically 3. A toolbar appears at the top of the pick and pack screens showing **"RF scanner ready · [device name]"** Once connected, scan item barcodes as prompted. The scanner acts as keyboard input, so no additional in-app configuration is required for most devices. ## Using the camera alongside an RF scanner While an RF scanner is connected, you can open the camera overlay for a one-off scan by tapping the scan icon in the header. This is useful for items that are difficult to reach with a hand-held scanner. ## Setting up scanner input Go to **Settings → Scanner** and select **RF Scanner** to configure the app for your hardware scanner.
