Use the recipient address book

Save common recipient addresses in your address book to save time and reduce errors when labelling orders

Updated today

The recipient address book saves you time by storing recipient details. Use it to build a database of addresses you frequently ship to, so you don't have to enter the details for every order.

This article explains how to add, update, and import and export recipients in your address book.

Add a recipient

You can add recipients to your address book directly, for use when you create new orders.

Adding a new recipient to the address book

  1. Log in to your Shippit account, and navigate to Settings โ†’ Address Book.

  2. In the Add new recipient section, complete the fields for your new entry.

  3. Click Add recipient to save the recipient details to your address book.

Import recipients

If you want to add many recipients to your address at once, you can do this by uploading a CSV file.

CSV file format

All valid CSV files are supported, with values comma separated. For each row in your CSV file, a recipient entry is created in the address book. Make sure your uploaded CSV does not have duplicate columns with the same header. If you import a file with duplicate headers, it could return an error, or you might find that the first column is uploaded, but all subsequent columns are ignored.

You can download this sample CSV file to use as a starting point.
