Export insights data

You can export data from your Shippit Insights dashboard so you can share it with your colleagues, or use it in your own business intelligence tools. Data is available as a downloadable PDF file, or as comma-separated CSV files for using in a spreadsheet or importing into a BI tool.

💡NOTE: You can export up to 5000 lines of data on the Performance Plus plan. If you want to get access to larger export downloads, we can help you with that! Contact [email protected] to get set up.

Exporting insights data as a PDF

  1. Open the drop down menu in the top right of your screen, and click Insights.

  2. Navigate to the data dashboard or adjust the graphs to show the information that you want to export.

  3. On the Insights menu bar, open the kebab menu, and click Download.

  4. In the Download dialog, use these settings:

    • In the Format field, select PDF.

    • In the Paper Size field, select an appropriate paper size.

    • Check the Expand tables to show all rows if you want to ensure that all rows are visible in the final document. This could mean your file size gets quite large.

    • Check Arrange dashboard tiles in a single column if you want to format the document in one column, rather than two. This makes your document longer, but is a good option for narrower paper sizes.

  5. Click Download to download the file. Depending on the amount of data, it could take a few moments to extract the raw data from the Looker service.

  6. Optional: Click Open in browser to open the PDF file in a new browser tab, instead of downloading the file.

Exporting insights data as a CSV

    • In the Format field, select CSV.

    • In the Paper Size field, select an appropriate paper size.

  5. Click Download to download the file. Depending on the amount of data, it could take a few moments to extract the raw data from the Looker service.

⚠️ Important: Each graph is exported as a separate CSV file, which is then compressed in .zip format to make it faster for you to download. You can extract the files by opening the .zip file in your file browser, and navigating to the extracted directory.
