Fluent Commerce produces several different products. This article covers Fluent OMS, and Fluent Store.

  • Fluent OMS is the main administration portal

  • Fluent Store is the store portal for order fulfilment

💡NOTE: Fluent Console and Fluent ServicePoint have been deprecated, and are no longer supported by Fluent Commerce. For more information, see the migration guide on the Fluent documentation site.

Set up your Fluent Commerce integration

To get your Fluent OMS integration set up, work with your Fluent Commerce partner to add your Fluent API details in to your Shippit account, and record the Fluent webhook URLs.

To integrate your Shippit account with Fluent OMS, you need these details:

  • Environment

  • Retailer ID

  • Fluent account ID

  • Fluent OMS username

  • Fluent OMS API password

  • API Client ID

  • oAuth client secret

  • Wave webhook endpoint URL

You can get these details by contacting your Fluent Commerce partner.

Setting up your integration in Shippit

  1. Log in to your Shippit account.

  2. Open the drop down menu in the top right of your screen, and click Settings.

  3. Click Integrations to go to the integrations settings.

  4. In the Select an Integration section, click FluentCommerce.

  5. Use your Fluent OMS details to complete these fields:

    • In the Environment field, select Production. You can also select Sandbox for testing purposes.

    • The Retailer ID field is not editable, and shows the Retailer ID number for your Fluent Commerce account.

    • In the Account ID field, type your Fluent account ID.

    • In the Username field, type your Fluent OMS username.

    • In the Password field, type your Fluent OMS API password.

    • In the Client ID field, type your API client ID.

    • In the Client Secret field, type oAuth client secret for your Fluent account.

  6. Click Continue to complete your integration.

  7. In the FluentCommerce Integration Settings screen, navigate to the Fluent tab. In the Fluent Webhook URLs section, take a note of the three URLs. Your Fluent Commerce partner requires these to set up your integration.

  2. Open the drop down menu in the top right of your screen, and click Settings.

Wave endpoint

Fluent groups orders together into waves based on defined criteria, then releases to pickers and packers at specific intervals. When a wave is ready for shipping, you can use Shippit to create orders and get labels for the entire wave. When you are ready to book a carrier, you can book for the wave or, if you have locations set up, choose to book one or more parcels from a location.

Toggling the wave endpoint

  1. In your Shippit account, navigate to the Orders tab in the FluentCommerce integration settings.

  2. In the Wave Endpoint field, select Enabled to have orders from Fluent flow through to Shippit, or select Disabled to stop orders from Fluent flowing through to Shippit.

  3. Click Update to save your changes.

Shipping options

You can configure shipping options in Shippit so that they more accurately match your Fluent settings. These settings allow you to select which Fluent Commerce shipping method matches a specific service level or carrier service in Shippit.

If you offer free shipping, you can manage your shipping costs by identifying the specific service or service class that you would like the order to be transacted through.

Changing shipping options

  1. In your Shippit account, navigate to the Orders tab in the Fluent Commerce integration settings.

  2. In the Shipping Method Mapping section, for each Fluent shipping method in the left column, select the matching Shippit service type. If you do not want Fluent orders of a specific type to go through Shippit, select Don't sent to Shippit.

  3. Click Update to save your changes.

💡Note: If you select the Click and Collect Shippit service type, a label is generated for the order. As soon as you download the label, the order is moved from the New Orders page to the Track page.

Location mapping

By default, your Fluent Commerce is connected to a single Shippit store. In most cases, this represents a dispatch location that you are shipping from. If you have more than one dispatch location, you can add Shippit stores for these additional locations, and map them to locations in your Fluent account. This allows you to route orders to different locations for dispatch.

To add a new Shippit store, contact your Shippit account manager, or get in touch with Shippit Support.

Changing location mapping

  1. In your Shippit account, navigate to the Locations tab in the Fluent Commerce integration settings.

  2. In the Fluent Location Mapping section, in the Shippit Store field, select Connect Shippit Account and sign in to the account for the store you want to add.

  3. For each Shippit store, select the matching Fluent location. To remove a mapped location, click the blue x icon next to the name.

  4. To remove a mapping from a Shippit store entirely, click Remove Location Mapping in the section.

  5. Click Update to save your changes.
