Here's the current disruption to the Aramex NZ network as of the 15th of October 2025.
Severe weather conditions in the lower North Island, particularly around Wanganui and New Plymouth, have caused road closures and delivery delays.
State Highways 2, 3, and 4 remain closed, and alternative routes through the National Parks are being used. This detour is expected to add 1β2 working days to delivery times.
Check for delays in the affected suburbs due to unexpected events by visiting the Network Service Updates page.
New U.S. Tariffs Effective 29 August 2025
Effective August 29, 2025, the U.S. Government has removed the $800 USD duty-free exemption for imports. This means all shipments to the USA will now incur duties and taxes, with most goods from New Zealand subject to a 15% tariff.
To comply, Aramex will hold all U.S.-bound shipments in Auckland until the applicable tariff is confirmed and approved. Customers can choose between DDP (sender pays upfront) or DDU/DAP (recipient pays on delivery, subject to a $12 USD ICOD fee).
Please ensure invoices include accurate values, clear product descriptions, and consignee identification to avoid delays. Aramex remains committed to supporting customers through these changes.
