Here's the current disruption to the NZ Post network as of the 11th of October 2024.

Domestic delivery updates

Notably, there are no delays.

International delivery updates

There will be a 3-day delay for international shipments via Economy and Courier.

Upcoming Public Holidays Delivery Schedule

On Labour Day, Monday 28 October, there will be no pickups or deliveries.

  • Packages submitted overnight on Friday, October 25, with a Saturday delivery ticket will be processed and delivered on Saturday, October 26.

  • Overnight packages that are not scheduled for delivery on Saturdays will begin to be processed for delivery on Tuesday, October 29.

  • Economy packages that are shipped on Friday, October 25 will begin to be processed and delivered on Wednesday, October 30.

For all perishable items shipped on Friday, October 25, to arrive by Saturday, October 26, ahead of the public holiday, a Saturday delivery label must be attached. It won't be attempted to deliver perishable goods sent on Friday, October 25th without a Saturday label until Tuesday, October 29th.

On Friday, October 25, the region observes Hawke's Bay Anniversary Day by having no deliveries or pickups.

  • Overnight packages ticketed for Saturday delivery inside the regions and sent on Thursday, October 24 will be processed for delivery on Saturday, October 26.

  • Overnight packages that are not scheduled for Saturday delivery will begin to be processed for delivery on Tuesday, October 29.

  • Economy packages sent on Thursday, October 24 will begin to be processed on Wednesday, October 30 to be delivered.

To ensure that any perishables are delivered by Thursday, October 22, before the public holiday, they must be sent to the region by Wednesday, October 23. After this, there will be no delivery effort for perishable items until Tuesday, October 29.
