Mainfreight is a global supply chain logistics company providing managed warehousing, domestic and international freight forwarding, and air and ocean freight services.


Services available

  • Mainfreight 2 Home (M2H) = Shippit standard service level

πŸ’‘NOTE: Mainfreight services are available for domestic shipments within New Zealand only. To be eligible to use a Mainfreight service, you must have a registered New Zealand entity address in your Shippit account.

Mainfreight is suitable for:

  • Multi-parcel shipments

  • Heavy bulky freight

Not suitable for:

  • Dangerous goods

  • Cash on delivery


Surcharges

Charges that can be identified at the time of booking are included in the API quote at the time of booking however additional surcharges may apply for undeclared goods or special goods. For more information, see the Carrier surcharges article.


Insurance

Complimentary loss or damage insurance is not included when booking with Mainfreight through Shippit unless you have it included in your own BYO account. Alternatively, you can enable Shippit Transit Protection to cover your orders for loss and damage.

Dangerous goods

You can't ship dangerous goods with Mainfreight.


Activation

We currently only offer a BYO account configuration with Mainfreight through Shippit, using your own BYO carrier account and rate card. To set up your integration, email the Shippit configuration team with these details:

  • Rate card

  • Account number

  • Label prefix

  • API key

  • Store identifier

  • Range start and range end

Your Mainfreight account manager can help you with retrieving your API credentials. They can also arrange for your rate card to be uploaded on to the Shippit platform.
