Couriers Please Network Update

26 May 2025. Service disruptions and network updates for Couriers Please

Updated this week

Here's the current disruption to the Couriers Please carriers' network as of the 26th of May 2025.

Heavy rain and flooding along the Pacific Highway are disrupting parcel deliveries along the East Coast, resulting in delays.

NSW Sortation Upgrade – Key Reminders for Smooth Processing

Couriers Please has announced that they are close to launching a new sortation machine at their Pemulwuy, NSW depot. This will enable faster processing and more accurate handling of all freight in and out of NSW.

As Couriers Please approaches this rollout, we’d kindly like to remind you of key practices that will support consistent and efficient processing of freight across the network.

1. Transmit consignment data early
Send all consignment information well ahead of scheduled pickup times. Late data can disrupt processing and increase the risk of missed connections or delivery delays.

2. Separate oversized freight
Separate oversized freight from standard freight when preparing goods for pickup. Refer to this guide for size specifications and handling instructions.

3. Notify us of any changes in volume
If you anticipate a change in your usual freight volumes, please advise your Shippit representative or [email protected].

4. Consider earlier pickup times
The new sortation system enables earlier collections. If this would benefit your operations, please discuss options with your Shippit representative.

5. Follow labelling best practices
Accurate labelling helps your freight move smoothly through the system. Please ensure:

  • Old labels are removed from reused cartons

  • Labels are not covered with tape or stickers

  • Labels are placed flat, not over edges or corners

  • Labels are uncreased, smooth, and printed

  • Labels are free from handwritten markings (e.g., Texta)

  • Fragile items are marked

  • Printer heads are cleaned regularly to avoid barcode issues
