The Send page allows you to get shipping quotes, and quickly create one-off orders. This article shows you how to use the Send page.
When you log in to your Shippit account, click Send in the top menu to go to the Send page. This page allows you to enter a delivery address and parcel details to quickly get a shipping quote and create an order.
Use the Send page
The Send page has two components: The Delivery Details tab, and the Booking & Payment tab. In the Delivery details tab, you can provide a pickup and delivery address, along with the parcel weight and dimensions. When you have completed the delivery details, you can move on the to the Booking & payment tab to get carrier quotes, add recipient details, and book the order for pickup.
Sending an order on the Send page
Log in to your Shippit account, and navigate to the Send screen.
In the Enter Pickup Address section, select an account to send the order from, or enter a new pickup location.
In the Enter Delivery Address section, type in a recipient address, or select an address from your address book.
In the Enter Package Details section, select a pre-defined package type, and enter the weight and dimensions. If you have multiple packages for the order, click Add package to enter details for the next package.
Optional: Check I give Authority to Leave if you want the carrier to leave the package at the recipient's address without a signature.
Click Next to move on to the Booking & payment tab.
In the Select your Delivery Service Type section, select the carrier service you want to use. If you want additional shipping options, click Show more quotes. For same day orders, you can also select a three hour delivery window. The Billing Details section updates automatically as you select different options.
In the Recipient Details section, complete the receiver's name and contact details.
Optional: If you want to add delivery instructions for the carrier, click Add special instructions and type the instructions in the text field.
When you are happy with the quote and ready to book the order for pickup, click Book Now.
Your order details, including the tracking number are shown in the confirmation screen. Click Download label to download and print the shipping label for your order, and click Download manifest to download and print the manifest for pickup. You can also now see your order in the Track page.
