Getting started with Store Rules

Store rules are rules that apply on a single store. Both store administrators and head office administrators are permitted to view and edit these rules. These rules are useful if you’re trying to set fine-tuned or bespoke allocation preferences within a store.

First, make sure you have at least store administrator permissions.

The Rules Engine can only be modified by a user who has Head Office & Store User (non-read only) Roles. Learn more here.

Next, go to Menu > Settings > Rules Engine

If you have multiple stores linked to your account, you'll need to select the merchant you want to add or modify rules from the drop-down.

On the Rules Engine screen, you can do the following:

  • Enable or Disable the Rules Engine by tapping the on/off switch at the top of the Rules Engine UI. This allows you to easily switch ALL rules on and off whenever needed.

  • Enable or Disable a rule by clicking on the on/off switch next to the rule. This allows you to easily switch one specific rule on and off whenever needed.

  • Create a rule by clicking on create a new rule button.

  • Edit a rule by clicking on the pencil icon.

  • Delete a rule by clicking on the trash can icon

Please note that the rules you set may affect the cost, speed and delivery of orders.

Getting started with Company Rules

Company rules are rules are typically applied across many stores. Unlike store rules, these rules are can only be edited by head office administrators and are prioritised first before all store rules. These rules are extremely useful if you’re trying to fine-tune the allocation of orders and carriers across many locations.
