DHL Express is a leading provider of international express shipping, transporting urgent documents and parcels quickly and reliably from door to door.

Services available

  • DHL Express Domestic Australia = Shippit express service level

  • DHL Express International = Shippit international express service level

Suitable for:

  • Apparel, clothing, and footwear

  • Small consumer goods

  • Small homewares

  • Limited dangerous goods. Check which dangerous are accepted in the network with our Dangerous Goods Matrix.

Not suitable for:

  • Furniture

  • Food and beverages

  • Alcohol

  • Heavy bulky freight or pallets

  • Consolidated freight (palletised)


Surcharges

Charges that can be identified at the time of booking are included in the API quote at the time of booking however additional surcharges may apply for undeclared goods or special goods. For more information, see the Carrier Matrix Article.


Insurance

Complimentary loss or damage insurance is not included when booking with DHL Express through Shippit unless you have it included in your own BYO account. Alternatively, you can enable Shippit Transit Protection to cover your orders for loss and damage.

Dangerous goods

You can only ship dangerous goods with DHL Express with prior approval.

Check the DHL prohibited goods list for accepted dangerous goods and limitations, and seek approval from DHL to ship dangerous goods. When you have received approval from DHL, contact the Shippit configuration team to configure your Shippit account.


Activation

We currently only offer a BYO account configuration with DHL Express through Shippit, using your own BYO carrier account. To set up your integration, email the Shippit configuration team with these details:

  • Shippit Store Name - The name of your merchant account

  • Account Number - Unique account number provided by DHL

  • Product Codes/Service Codes

  • DHL Account Manager Details (if any) - Name, email and contact number

Our team review your details and usually gets back to you in 1-3 business days. However, account activation for BYO can take 1-2 weeks to complete.
