Insurance

Complimentary loss or damage insurance is not included when booking with NZPost through Shippit unless you have it included in your own BYO account. Alternatively you can enable Shippit Transit Protection to cover your orders for loss and damage.

Pickup and delivery

Allow one business day after making an order for a pickup.

If you need to rebook a pickup, contact Shippit support, who can organise this directly with the carrier. Rebooking a pickup is free of charge, unless the driver has previously attempted a pickup and been unable to.

You can cancel standard orders from your Shippit account while it is in Booked for delivery status. After the order has moved to In transit you can't cancel the booking, and you are charged the full price for the delivery.

You can redirect packages at any point until they are loaded into the delivery van. This is free of charge if it is being redirected to another address within 75km of the original delivery address.

NZPost can deliver directly to one of over 300 Parcel Collect locations across New Zealand. This allows package receivers to pick up their packages where and when it suits them. Package receivers can set this up using the NZPost online account.
