Shippit is a shipping and fulfilment software platform that connects your preferred carriers with your existing commerce systems. It automates carrier allocation, label generation, bookings, and tracking across multiple carriers.

This article gives you a quick overview of the main steps required to create and manage your orders in your Shippit account. Use this as a reference guide to get you started. This article shows you how to:

Launch and log in to your Shippit account

You should already have a Shippit account set up. If not, contact your administrator, or your Shippit account manager.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. If your organisation has turned SSO authentication on, you are taken to your organisations authentication page. Otherwise, in the Password field, type your password.

Change or cancel an order

You can change or cancel standard orders up until they are booked with a carrier.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Because express and on demand orders are booked with the carrier when you create the order, you can't modify or cancel these orders. If you need to modify or cancel an express or on demand order, get in touch with Shippit support.

Changing an order

  1. Log in to your Shippit account, and navigate to the New Orders page.

  2. Scroll down the page to the Standard orders section and find the order you're interested in.

  3. Click the order reference number, or go to the kebab menu and select Modify order to open the order details.

  4. Make your changes, and click Confirm to confirm the order. Alternatively, click Confirm and download label to confirm the order and download the shipping label in a single step.

Cancelling an order

  1. Log in to your Shippit account, and navigate to the New Orders page.

  2. Scroll down the page to the Standard orders section and find the order you're interested in.

  3. In the kebab menu, select Delete order.

  4. In the Delete order confirmation screen, click Delete to permanently delete the order.

🚨 WARNING: You can't recover cancelled orders. If you delete an order accidentally, you need to recreate the order with a new order reference number.

If a carrier scans a label that you have cancelled, carrier charges still apply. Make sure you only cancel orders before the carrier has scanned them. For more information about this kind of charge, see the futile pickups article.

Track an order

When the order is picked up by a carrier and on its way to the customer, you can track progress in the Track page. This information is also sent to your customers, so that they can track progress of their order.

Tracking an order

  1. Log in to your Shippit account, and navigate to the Track page.

  2. Navigate to the order you're interested in, and click the order reference number to open the tracking page for the order in a new tab.
