Drop-off returns

If you choose to offer drop-off returns, your customer can drop off their packaged items to an approved location for the carrier. You can choose which drop off service suits you best, and turn them on or off in your returns portal settings. For more information about configuring your return options, see the Configuring your returns portal article.

Australia Post drop off

Your customers can drop off returns with Australia Post at any Australia Post location, or in a red Australia Post postbox.

To use Australia Post drop off returns, make sure you have at least one of these product codes on your Australia Post account, and that you have activated Australia Post as a carrier in your Shippit account:

  • PR – eParcel Post Returns

  • PR1 – eParcel Post Returns Zonal

  • PR2 – eParcel Post Returns Zonal CHA

  • XPR – Express eParcel Post Returns

  • XPR1 – Express eParcel Post Returns Zonal

  • XPR2 – Express eParcel Post Returns Zonal CHA

You can check if you have Australia Post returns enabled by logging in to your Shippit account, and navigating to Settings β†’ Carriers. Locate AusPost Standard Post in the carrier list and click Manage to see the list of available services.

For more information about activating Australia Post as a carrier in your Shippit account, see the Get to Know Australia Post article.

HUBBED drop off

Your customers can drop off returns with over 3,000 HUBBED drop-off locations.

To use HUBBED drop off returns, log in to your Shippit account, and navigate to Settings β†’ Carriers. Locate Hubbed in the carrier list and click Get started. In the HUBBED details page, check Offer drop-off returns, and click Enable HUBBED.

When you create a return order with HUBBED as the carrier, your customer can choose which drop off location to use. HUBBED then automatically chooses the best carrier to return the package to you.

Collected returns

If you choose to offer collected returns, your customer can have their packaged items picked up the carrier from their home or work address. Collected returns are available on Shippit partner rates with Allied Express, AramexAU, and CouriersPlease.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: You must be using Shippit partner accounts to activate collected returns. They are not available on carriers where you have negotiated your own rates.

Choose which carrier's collected returns service suits you best, make sure the carrier is active in your carrier settings, and then turn them on or off in your returns portal settings. For more information about configuring your return options, see the Configuring your returns portal article.
